This trip will take you through the Discovery Islands in Discovery Passage between Vancouver Island and the mainland. These islands are considered to be the part of our beautiful Northern Gulf Islands. Discovery Passage starts where the Strait of Georgia narrows between Quadra Island and Vancouver Island and continues north until it widens somewhat into Johnstone Strait.
On your way we may encounter, orcas, minke whales, Pacific white-sided dolphins, porpoise, sea lions, seals, black bears, cinnamon bears and perhaps grizzly bears, you will experience some of the worlds most thrilling ocean rapids including “Devils Hole” and the “Aaron Rapids” also known as “The Drain”.
Eagle Eye Adventures team members are excited to share everything Mother Nature has to offer. With every departure, we go above and beyond – maximizing guest satisfaction.
Extra clothing, wear enclosed footwear, a smile, and a sense of adventure! You are welcome to bring your own camera and binoculars.
Covid depending, we might not be able to hand out gloves, goggles and hats, bring your own if restrictions are still in place.
Please understand that when we view wildlife and whales, we are guests and must follow a strict set of viewing guidelines in order to protect and respect their natural habitat. Yes, sometimes the whales do get close due to their behavior, but we never get close on purpose. In Canada, we cannot approach within 100 meters (110 yards).
For more information, take a look at our rules and guidelines page.
In order for a trip to go ahead we require that a minimum number of 4 guests are booked for a trip. In the event that this requirement is not met the trip could be cancelled and or postponed.
